**BEN SIMMONS’ BULLSH*T PROMISES ARE BACK: WILL HE FINALLY PUT UP OR SHUT UP?**

As the NBA season approaches, familiar signs begin to emerge. ESPN starts hyping up top players, and lists ranking players and coaches start circulating. Another annual tradition is the promise of a breakout season from a certain athlete, who has consistently failed to deliver.

This player’s offseason hype has become a running joke, with videos of them hitting shots in an empty gym sparking unrealistic expectations. Despite taking only a handful of three-pointers in their career, the narrative persists that they’re on the verge of an All-Star caliber season.

However, after playing only a limited number of games in recent years, it’s hard to take these claims seriously. From a health perspective, it’s great to hear that they’re finally feeling better, but on-court performance is a different story. To be considered an All-Star, they need to consistently produce numbers like 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists per game, while shooting over 56% from the field.

We’ve heard it all before, and it’s time to see some actual results. The pattern of showing flashes early in the season, only to be sidelined by injury, has become all too familiar. It’s likely that we’ll see more of the same this year, followed by another round of offseason hype and promises of a breakout season.

With their massive contract extension coming to an end, it’s fair to question whether they’ve provided value to their team. It’s possible that this could be their last year in the league, rather than a triumphant return to form. The timing of their newfound confidence and willingness to shoot is suspicious, to say the least. Is it a coincidence that they’re suddenly feeling healthy and motivated now that they’re in a contract year?
