This weekend’s highly anticipated matchup between the 1-1 Chicago Bears and the 0-2 Indianapolis Colts is all but decided, thanks to a spirited display by Colts superfan Seth and his two guest cheerleaders. The Bears, it seems, are already at a disadvantage before the game even begins.
As I watched Seth’s electrifying hype video, I discovered a few interesting facts. Firstly, the Colts have a fight song – or rather, multiple versions vying for official status. Secondly, Josh Downs is set to take the field, and according to Seth, he’ll be instrumental in helping the Colts dominate the Bears.
But what really caught my attention was Seth’s clever repurposing of the Bears’ iconic “Bear Down” battle cry. By incorporating it into their own song, have the Colts effectively claimed it as their own? It seems that might be the case, leaving the Bears to come up with a new rallying cry.
With the Colts looking fierce and focused, it’s hard to imagine the Bears putting up much of a fight. This Sunday’s game at Lucas Oil Stadium is shaping up to be a rout, with the Colts emerging victorious by a landslide.
On a separate note, I have to give credit to the great people of Indiana. They’re a down-to-earth bunch, and their state is often underrated. Indianapolis, in particular, is a hidden gem – clean, organized, and packed with exciting attractions. From the vibrant entertainment district to the famous St. Elmo’s restaurant, there’s something for everyone in this underrated city.
