**RILEY’S SEASON IS FUCKED: Braves Shut Him Down with Broken Hand**

**Season Cut Short for Star Slugger**

A crushing blow has been dealt to the Atlanta Braves’ postseason hopes, as their star third baseman will miss the remainder of the season, including the playoffs. According to manager Brian Snitker, a recent CT scan revealed that the player’s broken right hand has not healed sufficiently to warrant removal of the cast.

The 27-year-old power hitter suffered the injury on August 18, when he was struck by a blistering 97 mph fastball from a Los Angeles Angels pitcher. Despite initial optimism, the healing process has been slower than expected, making a return this year unrealistic.

Snitker expressed confidence that the player will be fully recovered in time for spring training, but for now, the team must press on without one of its key contributors. The Braves currently sit 1½ games out of the final National League wild-card spot, with a crucial matchup against the visiting New York Mets on the horizon.

In 110 games this season, the injured third baseman posted a respectable.256 batting average, 19 home runs, and 56 RBIs. Over six seasons with the Braves, he has amassed an impressive 153 homers and 429 RBIs, while maintaining a.272 batting average.

In the meantime, the Braves have turned to Gio Urshela, a veteran third baseman who was signed after being waived by the Detroit Tigers. Urshela has provided a spark, hitting.270 with three homers in 30 games for Atlanta.
