**CUBS SWIPE ENOLI PAREDES FROM BREWERS, BOLSTER BULLPEN WITH FORMER PROSPECT**

In a recent move, the Chicago Cubs have bolstered their bullpen by claiming a talented right-handed reliever from the Milwaukee Brewers. This seasoned player, who will be celebrating his 29th birthday this weekend, boasts an impressive track record, having notched a 1-0 record, 1.74 ERA, and one save in 17 relief appearances this season.

Despite struggling with a right forearm issue earlier in the year, which sidelined him for over two months, this reliever is poised to make a significant impact on the Cubs’ pitching staff. To make room for him, the team has recalled two right-handers from their Triple-A affiliate in Iowa.

In a corresponding move, the Cubs have placed a veteran right-hander on the 15-day injured list due to a right groin strain. This 31-year-old pitcher, who joined the Cubs after being released by the New York Mets in June, has an impressive 1-1 record, 2.03 ERA, and two saves in 24 appearances with the team.

The Brewers had designated the newly acquired reliever for assignment last week, making room for another right-hander from their Triple-A affiliate. Throughout his career, this reliever has compiled a 4-3 record, 3.06 ERA, 51 strikeouts, one save, and 41 walks over 53 innings in 54 major league appearances, all in relief. He previously pitched for the Houston Astros from 2020 to 2022.

The Cubs had an available spot on their 40-man roster after designating another right-hander for assignment last week, paving the way for this exciting new addition to their bullpen.
