The agony of defeat still lingers in the air. It was almost as if fate was working against us from the start. The officiating seemed one-sided, with questionable calls going against us all night. Despite the odds, we came close to pulling off an incredible upset. Isaiah Likely proved himself to be a force to be reckoned with, carrying the team in the second half. His determination was inspiring, and that incredible play with just seconds left on the clock will be etched in our memories forever.
However, it’s hard to ignore the mistakes that plagued our team throughout the game. Dumb penalties, poor timeout management, and subpar pass protection all contributed to our downfall. The playcalling in the first half was baffling, failing to utilize our quarterback’s strengths. It’s clear that we still have a lot of work to do if we want to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
The sting of this loss will linger, especially given the way last season ended. We may have come close, but ultimately, we fell short. The road ahead will be long and arduous, but we have the talent and determination to push through. We’ll need to regroup, refocus, and come back stronger than ever if we want to prove ourselves as true contenders. The journey begins now.
